It’s not uncommon for me to spend 5 minutes trying to untangle my earphones after fishing them out of my pocket or backpack. Yes, I put them away neatly, but they still often come out hopelessly tangled. It’s weird.
Zip Buds, the tangle proof earphones with a built-in noise cancelling microphone and remote, have come to the rescue. I had planned to invent these, but Zip Buds beat me to it and did a better job than I would have.
The zipper works great to keep the cord from tangling. And the the ear phones are very well designed to stay in your ear, and produce excellent sound. The design helps to reduce outside noise.
Customers do report that the zipper is somewhat heavy, which may be a challenge to an active user. My solution is to rout the cord and zipper under my shirt so there’s no bouncing, but I understand that may not appeal to everyone. Durability may be an issue as well, but for the $30 price tag, if you use them gently, you’ll get your money’s worth in saved time in the first month.
