Airline baggage policies are driving a new trend in business travel: the virtual valet. DUFL is one such service that is making a big splash.
To start DUFL’s service, you provide them with your travel wardrobe and any accessories that you typically travel with. They store your items at their facility. When you’re ready to travel, you use an app that allows you to choose the items you’d like to pack. DUFL will have your items delivered directly to your hotel via Fedx. Leave your DUFL suitcase at the front desk when you check out, and DUFL will arrange a pickup. The items will be returned to DUFL’s facility where they’ll be cleaned, pressed, and stored, ready for you next trip.
The cost for DUFL’s business travel services is $9.99 per month plus $99 per trip.
Given the hassles of luggage lugging, the time spent checking and retrieving bags at the airport, and the competition for overhead storage space on most flights, this service saves many headaches.
DUFL launched in May 2015. I haven’t used the service, but the initial reviews are glowing. You can learn more about them at dufl.com.
